Resumen
La región del Caribe ha hecho avances considerables en términos de acceso a la educación, logrando una matrícula escolar primaria prácticamente universal y niveles similares de logros educativos en relación con países comparables. Sin embargo, persisten desigualdades de aprendizaje a lo largo de los ciclos de vida de los estudiantes a medida que avanzan de la educación primaria a la secundaria y terciaria. Además, existen crecientes brechas de género que dejan atrás a los hombres en términos de logros educativos.
